Aoife McAtamney

Born in Ireland and began dancing at the Celbridge School of Ballet. She then went on to receive professional training form London Contemporary Dance School and on the D.A.N.C.E Across Europe programme where Aoife worked with choreographers William Forsythe, Wayne McGregor, Angelin Preljocaj and Frederic Flamand. Aoife's own choreography includes 'Memory/Lifeline', 'Defer the grief, Diminish the gift' and 'Sweetheart that's the interesting part...' a 5-hour dance instillation performance. Her work has been performed in Germany, Italy and France. Her most recent work 'The Spinner' resulted from the Choreographic Bursary Award given to Aoife by DanceIreland for 2010. Aoife works with choreographers Regina van Berkel, Anneke Hansen and Emma Martin.
