Gemma started her training in musical theatre at Italia Conti and the Brit School for performing Arts. She then went on to study at Laban graduating in 2009 with a BA (hons) in Dance Theatre. During her final year at Laban she worked with Kerry Nicholls and Tom Dale and had the opportunity to tour theses pieces to various schools and venues in England. Gemma has recently finished with Map Dance Company where she worked with the following choreographers to create touring pieces: Shobana Jeyasingh, Colin Poole, Gregory Maqoma, Matthias Sperling and Keira Martin. Currently, Gemma is completing her dance performance masters at Chichester University. Gemma hopes to dance professionally within a touring company and experiment with her own choreographic ideas developing a clearer image as an individual artist.
